The Guys from “One Direction” Refuse Drugs At the Eurostars hotel, located in one of the four towers of the Paseo de la Castellana, just a hundred feet below, with hoodies and outerwear, with lunch boxes and Anglo-Saxon flags, eager moms sit outside with their children singing “a capella” songs from the music group known as “One Direction”. Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson became famous thanks to a television contest, sponsored by producer Simon Cowell. From their first album, “Up All Night”, they have sold over five million copies, which have led them to be number one in Billboard ranking. Now they have just launched their second album, “Take me home”. When asked about drugs, Niall Horan jokily answers: “Drugs? We will continue to drink Pepsi.” The group has signed a generous contract with this refreshing drinking soda. They are graceful, clean, friendly and happy teenagers. Moreover, the Foundation Against Drug Addiction (FAD), continues to disseminate the advertising campaign through various media under the slogan: “It's a real experiment, a young teen has devoted 144 hours to learn how to surf from scratch.” This is also the same amount of time that a teen can waste with drugs or alcohol. Among the campaigns that the FAD has released through various media, the advertising campaign under the following slogan should be highlighted: “Drugs not only harm those who consume them.” “Everything has a price.” This campaign seeks to raise public awareness about the presence of drugs as a product that only leads to waste. The creative idea of the action rests on the following assertion: “The most dangerous drug is to forget what they really are.” There has also been launched another advertising campaign aimed at young people and school aged children, warning them of the dangers of drugs, under the following theme: “Drugs. Are you going to play with them?” The campaign aims to appeal to the responsibility of adolescents. Smoking pot increases the chances of drug consumption. “Drugs always take their toll. Open your eyes”, states the communication of the National Drug Plan. Drugs reach the brain directly. The study conducted by the National Office of Drug Control in Washington D.C., confirms that drugs can cause damage such as anxiety, melancholy, psychotic episodes and suicidal tendencies. Is this what some seek, something that goes hand in hand with the culture of death? “I saw the greatest minds of my generation, dragged through the streets at dawn of blacks, drug seeking urgent imperative”, explains Allen Ginsberg (Translated by Gianna Sanchez Moretti).
