Amy Winehouse Could not Handle Abstaining from Alcohol

Amy Winehouse Could not Handle Abstaining from Alcohol

The 27-year-old singer Amy Winehouse died at her Northern London home in Camden.

The singer lent her image to a fashion design multinational, and had also recently finished her umpteenth anti-alcohol therapy. Singer Lilly Allen expressed her remorse through Twitter: “It is more than sad, there is nothing more to say, she was a lost soul, may she rest in peace”. She tried to do her best during her last concert in Belgrade while being drunk for an entire hour and a half. The pathetic act put an end to her musical career.

According to the Alcohol and Drugs Survey of the National Plan on Drugs, about 3.4% of alcoholic ethylic drinks are categorized as high risk toxins. When it comes to alcohol abuser, Ireland is the country with the highest number of immoderate drinkers, while Bulgaria is the one with less.

The Federation of Spirit Producers has launched a television ad campaign with the goal of moderating alcoholic consumption behavior. This is one of the global campaigns that aim to promote “responsible consumption”.

Moderate drinking is being advocated with the following slogans: “drink with moderation, it’s your responsibility”, and “Enjoy a responsible consumption”. These messages spread in a clear and precise manner the message that through moderation one can enjoy alcohol. The targets of the message are drinkers with weak self-control that end up consuming 82% of the alcohol being promoted. This recreational alcoholic weakness goes by the name of “Northern master”, describing someone that drinks sporadically and compulsively.

“Spirituous” alcoholic drinks are one of the gravest attacks on society. It is an attack whose consequences reach everyone in society, mainly the youth; the hope of our future. (Translated by Gianna A. Sanchez Moretti)
