The unborn child is a human being from the moment of conception Let him be born

The unborn child is a human being from the moment of conception Let him be born! “An abortist society becomes inhospitable. As time passes, tyranny and arbitrariness will reign in all its fields. It's like the spread of an infectious disease”, said the German theologian Jutta Burggraf (1952-2010). The recent completion of the trial, in Spain, against the wealthy Peruvian Carlos Morin, who in their abortion clinics killed countless innocent and defenseless children, reminded me vehemently of the tragedy intimate lived by María, a woman who was 84 years old by the time -five years ago- when Morin was arrested. What most afflicted this old woman was the deliberate killing of his own son. It happened in may 1951. Then she was 27. She was stuck in an abortion facility. "That was a pigsty, a butcher shop," she says. The abortion was performed without any anesthesia. Over time this woman got pregnant, expecting a baby, on four separate occasions. All pregnancies ended in miscarriages, as a result of the damages sustained in the abortion to which she was subjected. The symptoms of post-abortion syndrome have accompanied her throughout her entire life. Another testimony that comes to mind on the occasion of the Morin case is that of Esperanza Puente, a woman who was a direct victim of deliberate abortion, and recounted his experience in the book "I had an abortion"-and later in "Breaking the Silence "- where are collected the tragic testimonies of mothers who have destroyed their own children through abortion. Voluntary abortion creates diverse and difficult obstacles to physical and mental health of women, it specifically generates posttraumatic stress crisis that evolve with great suffering and fear, leading to depression, increased alcohol and drugs consumption, eating behavior disorders, anxiety, loss of self-esteem and suicide attempts. Some women who have had abortions, look with indifference the death of their own children. We live in a culture of death that surrounds us everywhere with a fierce selfishness, brutal violence and no respect for the lives of unborn human beings, the life of innocent and defenseless, who has a transcendent value. In the United States, abortion began its deployment 40 years ago, after the Supreme Court ruled the sentence "Roe vs. Wade "in 1973. In 1776, the country launched its proclamation of independence on behalf of the right to abolish despotic governments that violate fundamental rights such as life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Today, tremendous paradox!, these principles coexist with abortion. With the killing of children who are in the womb. "The unborn child is a human being from the moment of conception, and his life must be respected. That life was redeemed by Christ, that life is a gift from God”, said the Swiss theologian Karl Barth.
