Jóvenes suicidas / Suicidal young men

To the World Health Organization there worries the increase of attempts of suicide between young men from 15 to 25 years. What is happening ? So(then, since) that the young men are now more vulnerable for the anxiety before the future and the lack of affective stability.

Investigations in the scholastic scope confirm that, at first sight, the young people who try to commit suicide are like the others. Nevertheless, factors of risks common between the suicidal young people exist: familiar ruptures, loss of wanted beings, domestic violence, depressive feelings, drug abuses or alcohol. But these factors are not by themselves determining. The suicidal conduct usually is developed in people with mental upheavals and a file of aggressiveness and schizophrenia.

Estonia, Latvia, Lituania and Hungary, with rates of suicide superior to 45 by 100. 000 inhabitants are the more suicidal countries with and the minuses, Spain, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Great Britain, with inferior rates to the 10 by 100.000.

The increase of the suicides has forced diverse countries of the European Union to take preventive measures. Thus, in France, where the national Days of prevention of the suicide finish being celebrated, programs of pursuit of the risk groups exist. “The prevention of the suicide happens through the reestablishment of the social relation, but of an acceptance relation”, it says Vincent Lapierre, one of the person in charge of the program.

The psychological autopsy is another way of learning to anticipate the suicide. Practised in Anglo-Saxon countries and in Finland, it consists of the fact that, after a suicide, is interrogated to the family, social and labour environment of the person who has taken the life from herself.
