La FAO, cuyo propósito consiste en terminar con el hambre en la tierra acaba de cumplir 60 años de existencia. La Organización para la Agricultura y la Alimentación de la ONU a aseverado que “cada cuatro segundos fallece una persona”. Siendo las jóvenes y los chiquillos las víctimas letales. Esta ONG en su convocatoria, con motivo del Día Mundial de la Alimentación, afirma que el reto está en la plantación y en que se invierta en ella para disminuir las aterradores cifras de hambrientos a la mitad en 2015. Según su director general, el senegalés Jacques Diouf, “la gran apuesta está siendo el mejoramiento de las semillas gracias a la conservación de la diversidad agrogenética de las plantas.
En la actualidad coexisten 850 millones de mortales que no se alimentan lo bastante y unos 60 millones que está en peligro su vida, afirma la FAO.
Por otra parte, Oliver Longue, director general de Acción contra el Hambre, dijo que: “El predicción más emblemática que nos hemos planteado es de que en 2050 habrá 11.000 millones de moradores en la tierra y que las últimas hambrunas han demostrado que no es un problema de escasez sino de una mala distribución de alimentos. En Níger había comida, pero tan cara que nadie podía comprarla.
También afirmó que en los últimos 20 años ha descubierto cambios significativos en la lucha contra el hambre que aflige mucho más a las jóvenes y a los críos ya que los varones inmigran en busca de un medio de subsistencia. Los terruños, ante esta huída, se vacía de mano de obra.
Por último, la Alianza Española contra la Pobreza se ha levantado contra esta lacra social de la pobreza para delatar los seis años de incumplimiento de los Objetivos Desarrollo del Milenio, rubricados en el año 2000 por 189 presidentes de Gobierno

Every four seconds

The FAO, whose intention consists of finishing with the Earth hunger, turned 60 years of existence. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN asserted that “every four seconds a person passes away”, being the young people and the kids the lethal victims.
On the occasion of the World Food Day, this NGO on its call affirms that the challenge is in the agriculture in which an investment is required in order to diminish the frightful numbers of hungry people to half in 2015. According to its Director-General, the senegalian Jacques Diouf, “the great bet is being the improvement of the seeds thanks to the conservation of the agrogenetic diversity of the plants”.
At the present time 850 million mortals coexist, who do not feed themselves enough and about 60 million whose life is in danger, affirms the FAO.
On the other hand, Oliver Longue, the general director of Action Against Hunger, said that: “The more emblematic prediction we have considered is that in 2050 there will be 11,000 million Earth inhabitants and the latest famines have demonstrated that it is not a problem of shortage but of a bad food distribution. There were food in Niger, but so expensive that nobody could buy it”.
He also affirmed that in the last 20 years he has discovered significant changes in the fight against the hunger that afflicts much more to the young people and the children since the men immigrate in search of subsistence means. The pieces of land, in view of this escape, are empty of manual labor.
Finally, the Spanish Alliance Against Poverty has risen against this social damage of the poverty to expose the six years of non-fulfillment of the Millennium Development Goals, sealed in 2000 by 189 presidents.
