Un total de diez mujeres acusaron al Jefe del Estado hebreo por presuntas violaciones y asedio sexual, desde que era miembro del Gobierno y en los últimos seis años de Presidencia.
Los superiores de la Policía de Israel, que llevan el caso, pidieron su procesamiento ante el magistrado general del Gobierno.
Después de tres meses de interrogatorio a todas las partes y testigos, los investigadores afirman disponer con declaraciones irrefutables como para abrir un proceso al Presidente Moshe Katsav. El dictamen final para enjuiciar al jefe del Estado israelí la debe tomar el procurador general Maruz.
El alto ejecutivo de Israel, que hasta ahora disfrutaba de un renombre impecable, ve cómo su porvenir se arruina. Katsav es sospechoso de dos infracciones de violación de subalternas, cuatro de provocación sexual, estafa, trabas a los jueces, escuchas telefónicas y desfalco.
Un alto cargo de la indagación aseveró que había bastantes pruebas para inculpar al Presidente.
Ayer, ante la coacción y bravatas de los congresistas, no asistió al Parlamento israelí para intervenir en la asamblea inicial de este curso.
La violación consiste en la embestida, con salvajismo, a la intimidad sexual de un mortal por lo que lacera el respeto a la libertad, a la integridad física y moral del ser humano. Atropella la justicia y la humanidad de la persona violada.
