La muerte de los reality show / The death of the “reality shows”

Antenna 3 retired the series interpreted by Ana Obregón “They and the weak sex” due to the low audience obtained; the 6.1 percent of TV share in its third chapter.
Jose Luis Roig asserted: “The thing was clear from the very first chapter. It had so little argumentative sense that it could not go on so far. In addition, the protagonist, blinded by the success of “Ana and the Seven”, insisted on demonstrating, with her eccentric ideas, how square is the circle”.
The world of trash TV does not have its better moment. Telecinco decided to anticipate the last stage of: “Challenge below cero” due to the reduction of the audience, as they previously did with “The kitchen of hell”. Televisión Española will eliminate: “First of the class” since in the premiere it had an audience average of 1.862.000 televiewers, with a screen percentage of 12.8. It has been excluded from the program.
The trash TV is a form to make television, identified by the exploitation of morbid fascination, the sensationalism and the libertinism for the seduction of the audience. It also uses sex, violence, awkward humor and the fetishism.
Under an impostor packing of concern and denunciation, the trash TV programs delight with the suffering, with the most squalid evidence of the human condition, with the inadmissible unfolding of afflictions and intimate conducts, reason why they turn into a factor of culturization and disinformation.
Jose Luis Cebrián, director of the metropolitan newspaper ABC, when it occupied the second position in the ranking of the daily press, affirmed: “The trash TV is a more serious problem than the terrorism and the drugs”.
