La primera edición del “Baile por la Vida”, cuyo objetivo reside en reunir fondos para el combate contra el Sida, se celebró en mayo de 1993, y desde aquel momento se ha transformado en uno de los certámenes de beneficencia más coloridos de toda Europa.
Este año la velada se ha celebrado en Viena, recaudándose más de un millón de euros. Despuntó con un desfile del italiano Renzo Rosso, al igual que lo realizó, en la pasada jornada, Donatella Versace. Sobre la pasarela se pudo contemplar a una graciosa Noemí Campbell quien, aparte de colaborar con su asistencia, interpretará una serie reducida de sellos que serán elaborados por el correo austriaco y cuyo dinero irá designado a la pelea contra el Sida.
Sharon Stone también estuvo presente y asistió como rectora de la Fundación América de Investigaciones para el Sida, estigma por el que cada minuto fallece un chiquillo en el mundo.
Por su parte, la estrella francesa Catherine Deneuve fue la comisionada de donar, en la citada gala, el Premio Cristal de la Esperanza a Médicos sin Fronteras, dotado por una suma de 130.000 euros regalados por la marca de joyería en cristal Swarovski.
También el roquero irlandés Bono, convertido en una figura internacional contra el Sida lanzó, junto a Giorgio Armani y American Express, una iniciativa para ayudar a los desfavorecidos. Consiste en rotular de color escarlata una serie de productos de alta gama de modo que los usuarios sepan que, cuando los compran, están ayudando al Fondo Mundial contra el Sida, la tuberculosis y la malaria.
El filósofo Julián Marías afirmaba que “la causa principal de esta enfermedad es la ausencia de normas de vida sexual, normas que han existido siempre y gracias a las cuales los hombres se han comportado de manera humana y han hecho posible eso que se llama civilización”.

The first edition of the “Dance 4 Life”, whose objective resides in collecting funds for the combat against AIDS, was celebrated in May 1993, and from that moment, it has been transformed into one of the most colorful contests of charity of all Europe.
This year the evening was celebrated in Vienna, collecting more than a million euros. It stand out with a fashion show of the Italian Renzo Rosso, as it made it, in the last time, Donatella Versace. On the catwalk, a graceful Noemi Campbell could be contemplated, who, aside from collaborating with her attendance, presented a limited series of seals that will be printed out by the Austrian Post and whose money will be assigned to the fight against AIDS.
Sharon Stone also was present and she attended as Director of the American Foundation for AIDS Research, according to which, every minute passes away a little child in the world.
On the other hand, the French star Catherine Deneuve was the commissioner to donate, in the mentioned gala, the “Life Ball Crystal of Hope” award to the Doctors Without Borders, assigned with a sum of 130,000 euros, sponsored by the jewelry crystal trademark Swarovski.
Also the Irish singer of rock Bono, turned out into an international figure against AIDS, released, together with Giorgio Armani and American Express, an initiative to help the underprivileged ones. It consists of labeling of scarlet color a series of high range products, so the users know when they are buying them, that they will help the World Fund against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
The philosopher Julian Marias affirmed: “the main cause of this disease is the absence of norms of sexual life, norms that have always existed and thanks to which the men have behaved in a human way, and have made possible that, that is called civilization”.
